As BU are no any more exists, we have prepared something special for some of you...

Now, you can mine XMR (Monero coins) using ATI cards on our pool, where one percent of mined coins will be sent for servers and infrastructure - rest of it is yours...

What we plan in furure?
1. More coins.
2. More platforms (Linux, CUDA support).
2. Mining for other BOINC projects - if any admin is interested in supporting it's project - just sent PM to me or Goofyx with project wallet address (we will confirm it on his project forum) then we will release app with HIS wallet address and the mined coins will be sent automatically send to his wallet.

Do you have any question? just send question here and we will answer asap (just keep in mind, that it is not easy to do everything as same time).

To mine for your wallet just add your XMR wallet address in your project preferences and enable test apps.

Our Foundation pool address:
Our XMR pool

Mine wasn't turned on by default, but I only had NCI tasks enabled.

Just don't run test apps or switch off this application.

We NOT push anybody to use it...

None of my venues had it enabled either.
I do have Monkey NCI only and Monkey CPU only venues currently configured.

I have no idea what XMR is but might let some of my systems run it for fun.

XMR is Monero cryptocurrency.
If you don't know it, then I suggest turn it off, as it is not science and you will be probably not happy to crunch it.

Seriously, it is not for profit, it is just another way to support project(s) and attract cryptocoins crunchers to BOINC.

I can see that at least one of your computers have one in progress:
http://boinc.gridcomputingcenter.org/results.php?hostid=26

Please, consider that all tasks are "test", we have to sort load of problems with wrapper for GPU's...

I've ran a few but they all exceed elapsed time limit???

Ok, I see...
We need to consider time for app, but it is calculate your shares.
Don't validate, but it is working properly and we will sort this issue.

After looking again, mine did however automatically select "Use ATI GPU". I would have personally preferred this to be a completely opt-in system, instead of having to manually opt-out. If I had ATI/AMD gpus set up to run various projects suddenly having a new one that's cryptocurrency being added in without my explicit permission would have irked me a great deal.

I'm afraid the only option is to disable test apps to not receive it.
Do you have to set off it? Just remind, that test apps are selected as disabled by default on every BOINC server...

I know, that most BOINC community members don't like miners, and this is why we not set is as default option.

Instead of adding this "test sub-project"....
HOW ABOUT FIXING PROBLEMS THAT ALREADY EXIST?

1) STILL NO STATS EXPORT
http://boinc.gridcomputingcenter.org/stats
Not Found
The requested URL /stats was not found on this server.

2) Fixing Monkeys V1 for Windows PC's?

The "NCI" problem is know bug of BOINC Manager, reported few month ago to BOINC developers...
It's NOT our fault...

BOINC Manager recognises only first NCI app from server if CPU app is on it. If you mix them, always when you have combination of 2+1, or 1+2 the problem arrives.
If you like, we will create additional server for you, but THIS IS NO SOLUTION to Manager problem.

Reporting it repeatedly doesn't solve the problem... We waiting for solution from BOINC developers.
If you like, I would send you all details of it, but it is some Gigabytes of data...

The XMR app was automatically activated on my host.
Where is the option to disable test apps?
At least it's not in my Grid computing center preferences.

Better way to introduce such an application would have been to announce first and then activate this wu type.

This sounds to me like bu***it, because before moving to GCC all 4 apps were running nci without problems (as long as Goofyx didn't try to do some changes) and in no way is this an explanation for missing stats or missing app #1
for Windows.

Not to mention the problems in WUProp since the move to GCC and the new app. Running GCC means that the hours of all my other 40+ apps are only counting for 50% in WUProp

IF I want to use it, I want my ASICs to run it, not my GPUs.
